Note: The installation must take place on the web server where Web Link is installed. Also, prior to installing the update, all users must be logged out of Web Link. To ensure everybody is logged out, edit the Web Link Setup Options from within the School Accounting System in order to disconnect users currently logged into Web Link and/or prevent users from logging into Web Link while installing the update. Refer to the Completing Web Link Setup Options topic in the Help File included with the School Accounting System for additional information.

Log into the File Transfer Center. To login, enter the customer ID number for your school district in the Customer ID field and the 5-digit zip code for your school district in the Zip Code field; then click the Login button.
Click the Download Updates link.
The most recent update of the program(s) for which your school district has licensed will appear (for example, the Web Link update for version 1.6.0.1 will appear).
Note: The File Transfer Center does not check which version of the program(s) you have installed in order to display only the update(s) you may need; so if you are unsure whether you need to download and install an update, check the About option under the Help menu within the program (for example, select the About Web Link option from the Help menu within Web Link) to view the version currently installed.
To view the documentation for an update, click the View Document link to the right of the desired update.
To download an update, click the Download button to the right of the desired update.
Note: Depending on the security settings of your Internet browser, a warning message may appear at the top of the screen stating the files were blocked from being downloaded from this site; to continue downloading the update, click the warning message line and select Download File and then click the Download button again for the desired update.
When prompted to run or save the file, click Save to first download the file to your computer and then install the update.
Note: If desired, click Run instead to install the update directly from the File Transfer Center; then skip to Step 12. Depending on the security settings of your Internet browser, an additional prompt may appear after clicking the Save or Run button stating the publisher could not be verified; if the additional message appears, click Run to continue.
The Save As screen will appear prompting for the location to download the WebLink SQL Setup.exe file (update file). In the Save In field, select the correct path (drive and folders) for the destination location from the list that appears in the drop-down menu for the field. Once the path is specified, click the Save button.
10. The WebLink SQL Setup.exe file will start downloading to the specified location.
11. Once the file has been downloaded, a message will appear stating the download was complete; click Run to install the update at this time. Otherwise, to wait and install the update later, click Close.
Note: If the message stating the download was complete does not appear (or you clicked Close on that message), when ready to install the update later, locate the WebLink SQL Setup.exe file (from the location specified in Step 9) and double-click it to launch the install; then continue with Step 12.
12. Read and follow the instructions given on the screen during the Web Link Setup. The destination path in the setup is preset to accommodate IIS (Internet Information Services). Click Next to begin the installation.
13. Once the installation is complete, you will be prompted to exit the setup; click Finish to exit.
